What is a Kitatsu?
They are Grim Spirits that make deals with other living creatures for their souls. The living creature's soul is their food source. The more morbid and hateful the soul is, the more delicious. Likewise, kind souls are really sour.
When Was the Species Created?
Kitatsu were originally made in January 2021.

Land of Nihon
Nihon is a country in the modern world of Pangea.Kitatsu specialize in an ancient Japanese martial art style. The Taishō-Shini-ki use "Goju-Ryu" Karate, the Fushi-Kamisama use "Judo" and Common use "Aikido". They reside in Nihon.Kitalders refer to Oyashima due to the respect of the old ways. These are folk that have gone through the physical and mental changes of life and can die easily.Taishō-Shini-ki are spirits that trick any into giving up their soul so they can devour it. The more sinister, the more delicious!Fushi-Kamisama are the ones that trade their soul to walk the planet to collect the souls of the following: Animal abusers/Killers | Murderers (both Furry and Human)
A Little About Nihon
In September 1940 the Kitatsu went to war with the Furries against the Humans.The Kitatsu were losing so they asked for help from the Taishō-Shini-ki. The Taishō-Shini-ki would help, giving them Fox Fire ability & Immortality in exchange for their soul.This is an alternate universe, where Furries are real. Things were okay in the beginning, until the humans started killing all the Furries off. The Kitatsu saw this as a threat to their brothers in arms, so they started joining the army and dying.The Young Adult Males and Adult Males joined the army and all the Nurses asked the Taishō-Shini-ki for help. The Taishō-Shini-ki granted their wish in return for their soul. Each time they make a deal with a Taishō-Shini-ki they get a random body part removed and a flame is added as like a power booster when they fight.
Life Cycle Of A Kitatsu
Their ages are measured in Human Years.Kitling: Infant (0-3)
Child: 4-11 years
Teenager: 12-18 years
Young Adult: 19-35 years
Adult: 36-74 years

What's the Difference? Take a Look!
Physical:The Males are usually the hard working, physically trained.
The Females are trained to be house wives at a young age around 14-15 unless bought by a Taishō-Shini-ki Family Member. When a Female teen Kitatsu is bought by a God/Goddess Family, she then instantly starts training to be a Geisha. There ARE such a thing as Trans Kitatsu. Taishō-Shini-ki there is NOT, unless it is a custom.Males rarely get chubby. They can get fat by eating modern day fat-filled human junk food and not being physically in shape. It is part of the Kitatsu roots that they study ancient Japanese martial arts. Only the Females get a little chubby to prepare them for child birth.
Blood
Different colors:Blood is any shade of red or black.Only Taishō-Shini-ki can have golden, cerulean blue or white swatches for blood (These are obtainable via Custom Only).Normally, the only ones to have black blood are the Hybrids!
Scales
Lots of Scales!
Some Scales are Uncommon and MUST be commissioned by the special artists.
Eyes
Only Female Kitatsu have eye makeup/markings.Males don't have this due to being the ones to mainly know martial arts and are about natural beauty for personal appearances.
Females are all about the body arts: body paint/art, modeling, geigi.The makeup markings are oval in shape.(See Chart Below)
Different Body Types and Sizes!
Kitatsu come in many shapes and sizes! Tall, short, skinny & obese.
However, the Females tend to be more chubby due to preparing to have children. Please keep that in mind when making your own!
Horns
Different Types of Horns!
Horns are what determine their rarity!What is NOT on the diagram is that Taisho-shini-ki can have any of the Horn Types listed! HOWEVER, the Middle and Last Rows are ONLY obtainable via custom.
Meaning of Tails
Taishō-Shini-ki: Super bushy, soft tails, messy (leaves and twigs in them) means Death God/Goddess.
Minimum tails: 3, Maximum tails: 9Fushi-Kamisama Customs and Hybrids: Soft, messy (leaves and twigs in them) bushy tail, or not that bushy (about the size of the average Teenager to Young Adult) Tails vary in sizes!
Maximum tails: 9Common Kitatsu: Long tail (long as body & slightly thin, thinnest of them all) Means it was a Kitatsu that has not sold its soul to a Taishō-Shini-ki!
Maximum tails: 3.
How to Make Your Own:
Should have a minimum of at least TWO tails.

Meaning Behind the Fire
Only Taishō-Shini-ki and Fushi-Kamisama(Kitatsu that made a deal with a Taisho-Shini-ki) may have Fox Fire!
Other Kitatsu may NOT have the little spirit balls (Fox Fire) next to them! This includes Hybrids!
Kitatsu only get their Fox Fire by sacrificing their lives and becoming a Fushi-Kamisama or unless they are a Taishō-Shini-ki.
How Paw Pads & Immortality Function!
Break Down:
If a Kitatsu exchanges their soul for Immortality, they gain the following and turn into Fushi-Kamisama:
Don't age physically (females can still get chubby. Males normally don't but Uncommon IS OKAY for JUST the Body Type)
Can walk on lava
Their paw pads control their body temperature (Normally cold and are slightly shiny in both touch and sight!)
Paw Pads control how hot Fox Fire flames are.
Can turn lava into igneous rock

Kazumi
She is a Taishō-Shini-ki. She is very Serious, Self Centered, Selfish, Easily Bored, and Deceiving.
She enjoys taking innocent males' lives. She is a geigi nowadays and makes men fall in love with her, therefore making them want to live forever to be with her. In the old days they'd ask her because of the war. She is known for being the Most Beautiful Taishō-Shini-ki in all of Nihon's underworld. She puts up with Hiro's Vulgar, Aggressive nature out of love.

Hiro is another Taishō-Shini-ki. He is Easily Amused, & has Dark Humor/Potty Humor. Gets along with Kazumi. Is lazy compared to his fellow Taishō-Shini-ki but is the best among his peers at Goju-Ryu Karate Style.

Meaning of the words used on site
Kitatsu: Also known as Common, is a Japanese anthro being with human intelligence living in a world full of humans that are hateful towards anthro beings. They use "Aikido" style Karate.
Fushi-Kamisama: These were the ones that traded their souls to walk the planet to collect the souls of the following: Animal abusers/Killers | Murderers (both Furry and Human). They use "Judo" Karate.
